Monterey County Workforce Development Board (WDB)

The Monterey County Workforce Development Board (WDB) is responsible for providing oversight and developing strategic policy for the utilization of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds in Monterey County. The WDB is a business-led legislative body, appointed by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. The WDB, whose composition is defined by the WIOA, includes individuals representing business leaders, local educational entities, labor organizations, community-based organizations, economic development agencies, Wagner-Peyser, and Rehabilitation agencies.

The WDB serves as a catalyst to integrate all private and public partners to effectively educate, train and place individuals with the necessary resources and skills to fulfill employer needs. We offer a dynamic and comprehensive workforce investment system through our America's Job Center of CaliforniaSM system.

The Full Board meets on the first Wednesday of every other month at 8:30 am.
